REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT iNFORMATION FOR 2024
The mission of SPECTACULAR is to create a safe, Christ-centered community that encourages young people to discover God, their inherent worth, and cultivate and express their giftedness. During SPECTACULAR 2024 approximately 800 campers and their leaders gathered at Graceland University for the largest annual gathering of youth in Community of Christ. All campers have opportunities to participate in leadership and discipleship development, diverse worship, and expression of arts, music, and sports. SPECTACULAR is sponsored by Community of Christ and is hosted at Graceland University.
This summer, 20 teenagers from Inland West Mission Center joined the Northwest delegation for Spectacular (SPEC) 2024. we flew to Kansas City on July 11 and spent a few days in Independence, MO, for a Northwest Delegation Retreat. There, we bonded through fun activities and visited the Church’s Temple. We then traveled to Graceland University in Lamoni, IA, for an incredible week at SPEC, exploring the theme “Be.”
Our return was delayed due to canceled flights, but we were fortunate to enjoy the hospitality of the Highland congregation in Missouri, who let us stay in their building and provided food and transportation until we could get a flight home. Special thanks to our Inland West SPEC Staff, Kathleen Paco Cadman, Tamryn Parker-Carver, and Michelle Phillips, for their dedication and support throughout this memorable experience.
You will need to complete the registration for the Northwest Delegation, SPEC, and YES fund application.
The Northwest Registration is open now. The SPEC Registration will go live this Spring. Once registered with Northwest, a link to register with SPEC will be emailed to you this Spring.
The cost for the 9-day trip will be $623.00 per youth. This includes airfare. We have worked hard to reduce costs where possible. We can offer this cost, thanks to the support of the YES Fund. Each camper will need to fill out a YES fund application (in addition to both SPEC online registration forms) to illustrate how they will contribute within their congregation or community to the covering of the airfare cost.
Payment is due in two installments as outlined below. Of course, full payment is welcome before the final deadline.

Airfare is not included in the above amount but will be covered by the YES Funds (Youth Funds) held by the Mission Center. These funds are made available by the generous contributions of many individuals and congregations.
